Cash flow tracking for small businessEvery month's money in and out, on one screen.
The payments that aren't invoices or supplier bills — taxes, salaries, fees, loans, what the owners take out — are where cash surprises come from. FocalHQ gives them a due date, a status and a place in the monthly total.

Put the month's commitments where you can see them.
- 1
Add a movement
Pick the direction, the category and the amount, in any currency — for example taxes out, EUR 2,400, due on the 25th.
- 2
Make it repeat
Salaries, rent-like fees and tax payments come back every month, quarter or year. Set the cadence once instead of re-entering them.
- 3
Mark it paid or received
Upcoming movements are scheduled; when the date arrives they're due. Mark each one paid, received or skipped when it happens.
- 4
Read the month
Cash in, cash out and net for each month, for the last 6 or 12 months or the year to date.
What goes in cash flow
Categories that match how money really moves.
Each movement has a direction and a category. Some categories only go one way — a dividend only leaves the company, a capital injection only comes in — and FocalHQ enforces that, so the totals can't be skewed by a mislabelled entry.
Salaries
Payroll as it leaves the account. FocalHQ doesn't run payroll; it records it.
Taxes
Payments to the tax office, and refunds when they come back.
Fees
Bank charges, subscriptions and other fees, and their reversals.
Financing
Loan drawdowns in, repayments out.
Transfers
Money moved between accounts, in either direction.
Other income
Interest and anything else that isn't an invoice.
Owner withdrawals
What the owners take out, kept apart from operations.
In a small company the owners' money and the company's money sit close together. FocalHQ records owner withdrawals, dividends, owner loans to the company and capital injections as their own movements, each attributed to the owner it belongs to.
The cash flow page splits the totals by owner, so a year-end question like “how much did each of us take out?” is a screen, not an afternoon in the bank statements. Withdrawals also register their paperwork in Documents automatically.
None of this replaces your accountant's view of what a dividend can be, or when. It gives them a clean record to work from.

How it fits
Invoices, bills and everything else.
Money from clients is tracked on invoices, from draft to paid, and money owed to suppliers on supplier bills, by due date. Cash flow holds everything else, so each payment lives in exactly one place and nothing is counted twice.
FocalHQ doesn't connect to your bank, and it isn't accounting software. It's the owner's view of what is due, what has been paid and what's left, kept up to date by the people who make the payments.
Cash flow is part of the Business plan, with supplier bills, expenses and up to three companies. See pricing, or try everything free for three months.
Questions
Cash flow tracking in FocalHQ, answered plainly.
Does FocalHQ import transactions from my bank?
No. There are no bank feeds. Movements are added in FocalHQ, which also means upcoming payments can be recorded before they happen.
Are invoices and supplier bills included in cash flow?
They have their own modules: invoices track what clients owe you and supplier bills what you owe. Cash flow covers the other movements — taxes, salaries, fees, financing and owner movements.
Can I track dividends and owner withdrawals?
Yes. Dividends, owner withdrawals, owner loans and capital injections are recorded against the owner they belong to, and the cash flow page can split totals by owner.
Can I set up recurring payments?
Yes. A movement can repeat monthly, quarterly or yearly, with a due date, and each occurrence is marked paid, received or skipped.
Does FocalHQ forecast cash flow?
It shows what's scheduled and due alongside what has already moved, month by month. There is no separate forecasting model.
